I'm not as happy about Viridasius sp. sylvestriformes as I have only one left out of the four I had. All the three died after molting. This species has a tendency to build strange-looking nests which you can see in the picture below.

Stephanorrhina princeps bamptoni are finally transforming into beetles. I'm not too fortunate because so far only one male has appeared and it died a few days later :/

Easter job

Maybe this weekend wasn't the best, but at least I had some time. And I used this time well-I put all my cacti outside. The weather is still doubtful (it even snows from time to time), but the temperature seems quite okay, I guess. This winter I lost only 2 cacti, which is not bad. I usually have 3-5 dead after winter. And, what's more, I finally made the effort to count my collection. Well, I can't count the plants themselves as there are often more than one plant in a pot, but I managed to count the pots themselves and there are...114 :) I'm so happy to have so many after all those years of my cacti passion :) And here are the photos of my pretties:
Może ten weekend nie należał do najbardziej udanych, ale przynajamniej miałam trochę czasu. I wykorzystałam go bardzo dobrze-wystawiłam wszystkie kaktusy na letnie stanowisko. Pogoda nadal jest niepewna (czasem nawet śnieg popaduje), ale temperatura wydaje się być ok. Tej zimy straciłam 2 kaktusy, co jest całkiem niezłym wynikiem. Zazwyczaj umiera mi 3-5. Co więcej, wreszcie się wysiliłam i zliczyłam moją kolekcję. Nie mogę policzyć samych roślin, bo nieraz jest ich więcej niż 1 w doniczce, ale udało mi się policzyć same doniczki i wyszło...114 :) Cieszę się, że po tylu latach mojej kaktusowej pasji mam ich aż tyle :) A teraz zdjęcia moich piękności:

But they can't sit directly under the sun just yet, so, as usual, I covered them.
Ale nie mogą jeszcze siedzieć bezpośrednio na słońcu, więc, jak zwykle, przykryłam je.

There were also some other good moments. I found some eggs without any Easter Egg Hunt. My Subulina octona laid some-they're so tiny, but I managed to take 2 shots.
Było też kilka innych dobrych momentów. Jak na Wielkanoc przystało, znalazłam jajka. Moje Subulina octona je zniosły. Są maleńkie, ale udało mi się zrobić 2 fotki.

It's a rare thing that my Sceloporus malachiticus allow me to take photos. They must have been in a good mood because I managed to photograph both of them. So here's the female.
Naprawdę rzadko moje Sceloporus malachiticus pozwalają mi zrobić sobie zdjęcie. Musiały być w bardzo dobrym nastroju, bo udało mi się oba sfotografować. Tu jest samica.

She's a lot more courageous than the male.
Jest o wiele odważniejsza niż samiec.

Those white flakes are of course the remains of his moult.

And the last thing. Just a moment ago I realized that my Protaetia himalayana started leaving their cocoons. At hte moment there're 2, but I expect 5. Look how beautiful they are!
I ostatnia rzecz. Właśnie przed chwilką zauważyłam, że moje Protaetia himalayana opuszczają kokolity. Narazie wyszły 2, ale spodziewam się 5. Patrzcie jakie piękne!

Beetles

I have lately become interested in beetles. The truth is I've liked their looks for a long time, but didn't have opportunity to buy any. I've been seeing lots of live and dried beetles at one of the places I work and the more I looked at them, the more I wanted to have those live jewels. And soon I got a chance to buy the beetles I liked most-Chlorocala africana oertzeni. It's purple colour with blue reflections is really stunning.
Ostatnio zainteresowały mnie chrząszcze. Tak naprawdę, to podobały mi się już od dawna, ale jakoś nie mogłam się za nie zabrać. Widuję wiele żywych i suszonych w jednym z miejsc, w których pracuję i im więcej na nie patrzyłam, tym bardziej miałam ochotę sprawić sobie takie żywe klejnociki. I wkrótce nadarzyła się okazja żeby kupić gatunek, który podobał mi się najbardziej- Chlorocala africana oertzeni. Jego filoetowy kolor z niebieskimi refleksami jest naprawdę niesamowity!

A few days later my colleague brought me a gift from the Chech Republic-6 larvae of Stephanorrhina princeps bamptoni. Nah, they don't look too attractive yet ;p
Kilka dni później dostałam od znajomego prezent z Czech w postaci 6 larw Stephanorrhina princeps bamptoni. Na razie nie wyglądają zbyt atrakcyjnie ;p

Can't wait to see them as imago :)
